Second-Generation Wrestler Has Signed An AEW Legends Contract

While legend deals, now known as nostalgia contracts, are common in WWE, the only wrestler previously known to have this type of agreement with AEW was Sting. However, it has now been revealed during The Claw Pod by Kevin’s son, Ross, that his father has also signed such a contract with AEW. This will likely see him continue to make cameos on television, feature in upcoming action figure and trading card releases, and be a playable character in future video games.

“Yeah, he’s basically on like, sort of a Legends deal, which is awesome that AEW is able to do cool stuff like that.”Ross Von Erich

68-year-old Von Erich, whose real name is Kevin Adkisson, is well-known to wrestling fans, especially those who grew up in Texas, due to his time working for his father Fritz’s World Class Championship Wrestling. Still, he has since achieved mainstream recognition after Zac Efron portrayed him in the 2023 film “The Iron Claw,” a highly praised movie which made over $45 million at the box office, off a $15.9 million budget.
