WWE.com has confirmed Samoa Joe has been suspended for his first wellness violation.
In theory, he would be back in time for WrestleMania but is currently out injured at present after suffering a concussion after taking a bad bump while filming a WWE commercial.
In what would be a weird coincidence, earlier this month @WrestleVotes tweeted that someone from Southern California had failed a wellness test, and followed up with a picture of Samoa Joe. Joe would go on to wrestle three times since this was tweeted, so it seemed that is was just typical internet rumors, but potentially it could mean Joe did fail earlier in February, and WWE decided to withhold the news for three weeks. It’s WWE prerogative to write someone out of storylines at their convenience, but three weeks feels excessive.
Joe’s suspension is the fourth in WWE this year following Andrade, Primo, and Robert Roode.
