Ryback Back-Pedals On His Latest Social Media Claim

Ryback has become known on social media for his outlandish behavior and has been known to try to create controversy to bring attention to himself and his nutrition business. Most recently, he would go as far as to promise to retire from pro wrestling if CM Punk made his return this weekend. Of course, as soon as Punk’s music hit at Survivor Series, fans were tweeting The Big Guy to see if he was going to live up to his commitment; however, he has now confirmed that he won’t be leaving the sport because he was referring to Punk returning to AEW.

Despite not wrestling in five years, Ryback regularly teases a return to the ring on social media now that his injuries are almost a thing of the past. Nevertheless, whether a significant promotion will have any interest in the 42-year-old in 2023 remains to be seen, especially considering his past shocking social media conduct. Still, there was a time when he looked set for superstardom, so perhaps someone may give him one more chance to fulfill the potential he showed when feuding with Punk a decade ago.
