It appears Kevin Owen’s appearance on the latest episode of Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Want to Talk About? podcast has ruffled a few feathers, as after Chelsea Green seemingly came to the defense of her husband Matt Cardona, Ryback has now taken to X to respond to claims he charged an “insane” booking fee. It should be noted that Ryback’s name was bleeped, but the former WWE star made it clear he knew they were talking about him, defending himself by saying, “Every promoter I worked with made money and got my full effort.”
Following his WWE departure, it was reported that Ryback was charging $4,500 per indie appearance, and while this amount may seem high, it’s likely considered a bargain compared to Braun Strowman’s 2021 rate of $20,000. Still, Ryback hasn’t wrestled since August 2018, and while he frequently teases a return to the ring, at this stage, few believe he will actually wrestle again.
