Guitarist Max Georgiev played with Falling In Reverse for nearly six years up until 2024. He is credited as a co-writer on several of the band’s songs from their “Popular Monster” album, but some fans wondered and speculated as to why he was replaced for the album’s subsequent tour.

A fan recently shared a screenshot of one of Radke’s Instagram Stories where the singer posted: “For those that are wondering why I fired @maxgeorgiev the guitarist, it’s because he admitted to sleeping with a minor 10 years before he was in my band when he was 27 years old. Have fun with that.”

Radke elaborated via a recent livestream also recorded and posted by fan. The singer said: “Even though it was before me … What kind of person would I be if I knew that? Once I figure that information out, I ask him and he says ‘Yes.’ What kind of person would I be to go, ‘Well it was 10 years before’? You’re gone.”

Georgiev posted a response saying: “To the fans, I have never done anything illegal with a minor. Fifteen years ago, when I was 23, I still lived in Quebec, Canada. Since then, I have played for several bands who never mentioned inappropriate behavior on my part. I have always had great respect for the fans. I have strived to play my heart out for you.”

Radke still asserts that the guitarist was in the wrong. The age of consent in Canada is 16. So while it’s possible that Georgiev may be technically correct in his response, Radke still wasn’t having it. “This man not only did that, but the parents of the minor — 10 years before he was in my band — found out, they confronted him, he lied about his age so he could continue doing that with her. “He wasn’t 23, he was older. He’s lying about that.”

Radke’s Instagram account is currently disabled likely due to legal issues stemming from a restraining order that he filed against Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee’s wife, Brittany Furlan.
