Therefore, it wasn’t a major surprise that she wanted out of the company. And now an excerpt from her new book has revealed she considered her poorly received final match, which was against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam 2023, a “f*ck you” to both fans and management.
“They weren’t going to appreciate it. If anything, making them sit through it was my last ‘f*ck you’ to them and the company. But it was the match that we wanted it to be. It was a match that I was proud of. That’s all that mattered.”
Ronda RouseyIt was thought that once 37-year-old Rousey departed WWE, her time in the pro wrestling business would be over. However, she unexpectedly went on to wrestle a couple of tag matches alongside close friend Marina Shafir on indie shows.
