In devastating news for KISS fans, the band’s co-founder Ace Frehley, also known as The Spaceman, has passed away at the age of 74. The rock legend had been hospitalized and on life support following a fall that led to the cancellation of his upcoming tour dates, with TMZ reporting his family made the decision to turn off his ventilator today.
Frehley, was best known as the original lead guitarist of KISS, co-founding the band in 1973. He left KISS in 1982 to pursue a solo career but rejoined the band for a highly successful reunion tour in 1996, marking the first time the original members had performed together since drummer Peter Criss’ departure in 1980. And whole Frehley left the band again in 2002, his legacy as a rock icon and his contributions to KISS will live on in the hearts of fans worldwide forever.
