Rob Zombie Shares Another Set Photo From “The Munsters”

Rob Zombie revealed last year his next film would be a reboot of the classic 1960s comedy, “The Munsters.” The show was based around a family of monsters in the style of a family sitcom, and it ran for 70 episodes from 1964 to 1966. Zombie, known as much for his movies as for his rock career, has periodically revealed pictures from the set including a cast photo and a creepy-looking filming location. Now, Zombie has posted a photo to his Instagram that shows actor Jorge Garcia as Floop, Dr. Wolfgang’s assistant and Herman Munster’s best friend.

Garcia is most well known for playing Hugo Reyes in the ABC drama series, “Lost.” He has also starred in “Hawaii Five-O” and the Adam Sandler film, “The Ridiculous 6.” Zombie’s wife, Sheri Moon Zombie will play Lily Munster, and Jeff Daniel Phillips will star as Herman. Daniel Roebuck, Richard Brake and Sylvester McCoy also all star in the film.

Zombie wrote:  “Straight from the set of THE MUNSTERS in beautiful downtown Budapest is this exclusive shot JORGE GARCIA @pronouncedhorhay as FLOOP – Dr. Wolfgang’s hunchback assistant and Herman Munsters best buddy. I am sure you all remember Jorge as Hurley from smash hit LOST or perhaps from Hawaii Five-O as Jerry Ortega or from Adam Sandler’s The Ridiculous 6.”

It was previously announced that “The Munsters” would receive a theatrical release later in 2022 while also streaming on Peacock.
