The Clearwater Police Department has officially closed its investigation into the death of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, declaring it an attended natural death with no evidence of criminal activity. On July 24, 2025, the 71-year-old Terry Bollea suffered cardiac arrest at his Clearwater Beach, Florida home, with paramedics responding promptly at 9:51 a.m., transporting him to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m. A detailed 72-page report, supported by medical records, witness statements, and a private autopsy, now puts to rest claims of any foul play.
“Following an exhaustive review of the statements, medical records, surveillance footage from within the residence, and a visual inspection of Mr. Bollea’s body, there has been no evidence to indicate the death of Terry Bollea was anything other than natural. Through the course of the investigation, there has been no evidence to indicate any criminal wrongdoing related to his death. This case will be closed, and will be considered solved, non-criminal.” – ClearWaterPolice
Hogan’s official cause of death was acute myocardial infarction, a heart attack, complicated by his long-standing atrial fibrillation and battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Recent neck spinal fusion and heart valve surgeries had further weakened the WWE Hall of Famer’s health in his final months. However, Hogan’s estranged daughter, Brooke, soon publicly raised concerns about possible criminal involvement, believing her father was far healthier than he actually was.
