During the March 11th, 2022, episode of SmackDown, Ridge Holland gave Big E an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the floor, with the former WWE Champion, unfortunately, landing on his head. It was immediately apparent that Big E was injured, and the tag match also featuring Kofi Kingston and Sheamus would conclude in the ring without him. Subsequently, Big E tweeted that his neck was broken.
Now a year on, Big E’s name has again been in the news, with it known, he is having tests and scans to determine whether he can wrestle again, and seemingly, this has resulted in a fresh deluge of hate toward Holland from so-called fans.
Big E has previously revealed he has no animosity towards his WWE colleague Holland. Instead, he says he has been very remorseful and is a good person. He also said that even if he has to retire, he doesn’t want this to be an albatross around his neck of the up an comer, affecting his career. Therefore if Big E can live and let live, his fans should at least do the same.
