Ric Flair Responds To Wrestler-Turned-YouTuber Using His Son’s Death To Score Points

Earlier this week, Ric Flair put Devon Nicholson, also known as Hannibal, on blast after the Canadian YouTuber called him a “compulsive liar” over his claims about Hulk Hogan’s death. Flair mocked Nicholson’s low follower count and called him irrelevant, which clearly upset him, as he soon returned to YouTube to call out Flair further, shockingly suggesting he was somehow responsible for his son Reid’s drug habit. And now Flair has responded to Nicholson on X, saying he doesn’t have the right to mention his son’s name, and that he was more of a man at the age of 25 than Nicholson will ever be.

“Mentioning My Son’s Name In Any Way, Shape, Or Form Is Not Allowed. Ashley, The Greatest Women’s Wrestler Of All Time, Her Mother Beth, Her Sister Megan, And Very Close Acquaintances Are The Only Ones Allowed To Speak About Him. You Know Who I Am Talking About! You Aren’t Worth Two Cents. Don’t Ever Talk About My Son Who Was More Of A Man At 25 Than You Ever Will Be In A Lifetime. I Have My Jet Pack On Pal… If Reid Was Here, He Would Kick Your Ass Right Now!”Ric Flair

Richard Reid Fliehr, born February 26, 1988, was Ric Flair’s youngest son and an accomplished high-school amateur wrestler. Subsequently, he would follow his father into the business in 2008, working on independents and briefly in Japan. However, despite so much promise, he sadly battled addiction, and on March 29, 2013, he died in a Charlotte hotel from a heroin overdose, with traces of clonazepam and alprazolam also found. Obviously, this hit Flair incredibly hard, so Nicholson bringing it up over a petty online feud is seen by most as a low blow.
