Ric Flair Issues Public Apology Following Early Dynamite Exit

While a controversial figure to many, Ric Flair is considered a pro wrestling legend. Therefore, when it was announced that he would be in attendance for last week’s episode of Dynamite, many fans were delighted to see their childhood hero return to television.

However, while Flair would appear for the fans in attendance at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro before Dynamite went live, he promptly left. And now, after it was revealed that he was dealing with an excruciating shoulder injury, the 76-year-old has taken to X to issue an apology.

“I Want To Apologize To Everyone For Having To Leave The @AEW Show Early Last Wednesday Due To My Rotator Cuff Injury. I Appreciate @TonyKhan Giving Me The Opportunity To Be On The Show. It Was Nice Catching Up With All The Great Talent And Ricky Steamboat. I Look Forward To Being Invited Again. After I Have My Shoulder Healed Up, I Will Be Back Up & Running. I Just Want You All To Know That I Would Never Disappoint You Intentionally.”Ric Flair

Flair enjoyed a legendary 50-year wrestling career, becoming one of the sport’s greatest icons of all time. Debuting in 1972, he overcame a near-fatal plane crash to wrestle for Jim Crockett Promotions, WCW, WWE, and TNA, ultimately becoming a 16-time world champion and two-time WWE Hall of Famer. And while some feel he should never have come out of retirement following his now-legendary match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24, it’s understood that he needed to continue earning money due to living his gimmick.
