Ric Flair Controversy Erupts After He Gives Anti-Marriage Advice Via Cameo Video

Pro wrestling legend Ric Flair has sparked viral outrage again, this time with a Cameo video gone wrong. The 16-time world champion would do this after being paid $1000 to record a personalized wedding shoutout for the brother of a die-hard fan. Still, instead of congratulations, Flair ranted against marriage, asking, “Why would you get married, motherf*cker?” The disappointed buyer subsequently left a one-star review, slamming Flair for his inappropriate advice, which seemed to be drawn from his multiple divorces.

“Oh my God, why would you get married, motherfucker? It’s the worst possible commitment you could do. Because as of the day you get married, 50% of everything is hers. I don’t care how beautiful she is.”Ric Flair

76-year-old Flair has famously been married four times, with his relationships often mirroring his flamboyant “Nature Boy” persona. First, he wed Leslie Goodman in 1971, divorcing in 1983 after two children. His longest marriage was to Elizabeth Harrell, from 1983 to 2006, during which they had WWE star Charlotte Flair and their late son, Reid. Shorter unions followed with Tiffany VanDemark from 2006 to 2009, and then with Jackie Beems from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, Flair had a non-legal ceremony with Wendy Barlow in 2018, and they separated in 2024.
