Unfortunately, there have been multiple reports of talents having to deal with unwanted fan attention in recent months, some of which have even led to arrests. And now, Rhea Ripley has disclosed on Cheap Heat With Peter Rosenberg that one fan turned up at her home with a poem on Valentine’s Day about them being “meant to be together.” Thankfully, Ripley was back in Australia at the time, but saw the incident on her Ring doorbell camera.
The most well-known example of a fan getting too attached to a wrestler is when Phillip A. Thomas II was arrested inside Sonya Deville’s home while possessing a weapon, duct tape, and mace. Initially, it appeared he would avoid a jail sentence after two doctors deemed him mentally incompetent to stand trial. Instead, the deeply troubled man was committed to the Florida State Hospital, although since then, he has been sentenced to 15 years behind bars.
