While speaking to The Undertaker on his Six Feet Under podcast, Rey Mysterio confirmed that his daughter Aalyah is ready to begin full-time training at the WWE Performance Center. The 24-year-old recently graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in human biology. She has already completed two successful training stints at the Performance Center, the first in October 2025 and the second for two weeks in February 2026, and is now fully committed to pursuing a professional wrestling career.
“She tried it out one time with me, last year, in October. She loved it. She just jumped in the ring once. I said, ‘Okay, let’s try to set you up to go up there for about two weeks, see if you can wake up every day and do this Monday through Friday, weekends off, and then back again Monday through Friday.’ She did two weeks, and she really loved it … Sent her again, this year, February, for two weeks, she loved it, and now we are in May, end of May, and she’s getting ready to go up there and establish herself at the PC.” – Rey Mysterio
Aalyah Mysterio, born Aalyah Gutierrez, gained some on-screen exposure in 2020 as a valet during a major SmackDown storyline involving her father and Buddy Murphy, though she never competed in a match. Now 24, she is likely viewed as a promising developmental talent with the potential to create a new chapter in the Mysterio family legacy alongside Rey and her brother Dominik. However, while her inherited genetics may give her an advantage, living up to such a legendary legacy remains her toughest challenge, especially after seeing how her brother Dominik has already exceeded all expectations.
