Renee Paquette Comments Following Her AEW Debut

Over the weekend, it was revealed that Renee Paquette was likely headed to All Elite Wrestling, and proving these reports were accurate prior to Dynamite, Tony Khan would officially announce her signing on Twitter. Subsequently, she would open Dynamite which was taking place in her hometown of Toronto, and appeared throughout the show as a backstage interviewer. Then throughout the evening, she’d regularly tweet out to her followers, wrapping up by calling the night “stupid fun” and acknowledging how loud the crowd was.

Paquette worked as Renee Young in WWE until August 2020, when she departed the company, with it assumed she would be heading to AEW to work alongside her husband, Jon Moxley. Yet that wouldn’t happen as it turned out that she had a one-year non-compete clause. However, her time away from the business wasn’t wasted, as the couple would start a family together. And while it was thought she may ultimately look to work in sports due to her FS1 experience, she has always said she was willing to return to pro wrestling, noting that’s where she made her name and built a large fanbase.
