This Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite was meant to feature a triple threat ladder match for the AEW Tag Team Championships with Jurrasic Express defending against The Young Bucks and The Hardys. However, following Jeff Hardy’s DUI arrest on Sunday night, the match is no longer being advertised by the promotion. Now, in what can only be described as bizarre, especially considering the circumstances, Jeff Hardy’s sister-in-law Reby has taken to TikTok and uploaded a video featuring her praying that her husband Matt doesn’t get hurt during the match, which appears to make light of Jeff’s arrest via an appearance of Joe Exotic at the end.
Many fans have criticized Reby for the video, believing she was trying to make a joke out of the situation. And considering lives were put a risk by Jeff getting behind the wheel, it is hard to mind it anything but distasteful. Nevertheless, Reby has never shied away from controversy and is one of the most outspoken people in the whole wrestling industry. Going as far as to publicly call out AEW management for how her husband was treated following a potential concussion at All Out in 2020. Additionally, she would appear to celebrate the death of one of Matt’s former girlfriends, Ashley Massaro, just an hour after news broke of her passing.
