Queens Of The Stone Age were in the midst of a European Tour but have been forced to cancel their remaining dates due to an unspecified emergency in regards to frontman Josh Homme. “QOTSA regret to announce that Josh Homme must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery,” the band said in a social media announcement. “Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue.”

The band captioned their post: “Queens are gutted we aren’t able to play for you. We apologize for any inconvenience and share in your frustration and disappointment.”

The band performed on Saturday night in Italy after canceling their appearance at the AMA Music Festival the night prior due to presumably Homme’s unspecified illness. Prior to the release of their latest album, “In Times New Roman,” Homme revealed that he had been diagnosed with cancer in 2022 and had a successful operation to have it removed.
