WWE fans are excited ahead of tonight’s Day 1 episode of Raw, partially due to Triple H teasing a former WWE Champion making an appearance. Subsequently, fans have speculated that it could possibly mean the return of Sasha Banks or even Andrade El Idolo if the company includes his United States Championship reign. However, it now appears it is The Rock after he was spotted on ESPN’s TikTok with WWE President Nick Khan earlier today. The duo were at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, which is just a two-hour drive from San Diego, where Raw is taking place.
The Rock’s last WWE appearance was four months ago when he appeared unannounced for the opening segment of SmackDown alongside Pat McAfee and Austin Theory. This would see the episode see a 23% rating increase from the previous week, and across all of WWE’s digital channels, his return was viewed more than 100 million times, which is astonishing for anything pro-wrestling-related.
