Slayer guitarist Kerry King got a Wrestlemania moment recently when he played Damian Priest to the ring for his showdown with Drew McIntyre in Las Vegas. On Monday night, another legendary metal guitarist was featured via Pénta’s “The Fire Is Coming” entrance theme. Tool’s Adam Jones has added extra guitar work to the track, and WWE announcers described Jones as “one of the greatest guitarists of all time,” and said that the track features Jones’ “specific playing technique that has been heard since the early Nineties and around the globe.”

Jones is apparently a longtime fan of the veteran Mexican luchador and even wore a Pénta-style mask during a Tool performance in 2016. The song will be available on streaming platforms soon.

Jones previously appeared for WWE at Summerslam in 2011 where he performed the national anthem, and he told Rolling Stone about his love for wrestling back in 2016.

“I grew up with WWF, now WWE – it was one of my outlets; I was into horror movies and creepy comics, but also sports, so wrestling kind of had it all. And a lot of times there was blood!” Jones said. “As I got older, my interests expanded to include makeup effects and music, but wrestling truly makes me feel like a little kid. For a long time I kept it personal. You know, I wouldn’t tell people I was into it – but now that I’m older, I don’t give a sh*t what people think about me. A lot of my friends give me shit – “Why don’t you watch UFC? It’s real” – but I tell them, “Look, what these guys do is exciting! It’s entertainment!” No one is going to hit anyone with a chair in UFC.”
