During this week’s episode of Raw, Penta attempted a hurricanrana off the barricade but landed awkwardly on his shoulder, causing the match to be stopped and awarded to Solo Sikoa despite the luchador wanting to continue. Obviously, this was unsettling for fans watching, and it was feared he could be sidelined for some time. And now, while not going into detail, the popular luchador has taken to social media to acknowledge the injury and state, “I will be back very soon, stronger, more prepared, and determined to finish what I left pending.“
40-year-old Penta broke into the business back in 2007, initially working as a masked character called Zaius. Then, after gaining experience, he would go on to debut for AAA as Dark Dragon before becoming Pentagón Jr. During his time with AAA, he would also work on the El Rey series Lucha Underground, which made him known to North American fans and therefore paved the way for him to wrestle for PWG, Impact Wrestling, and MLW. Still, his career reached new heights when he joined AEW alongside his brother in 2019, so it was somewhat unexpected when it became known in 2024 that he wouldn’t be re-signing with the company, having decided WWE was where he wanted to perform.
