Paige Talks About Being Scared To Make A Comeback

Over recent years, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Sting, and Christian all returned to the ring, having been previously forced to retire through injury. A mixture of time away and improved medical knowledge made their returns possible and left many fans wondering if other former talents could eventually make a comeback. One of them is Paige, who sadly had to retire following a neck injury sustained during a six-woman tag team match on December 27th, 2017, and has not wrestled since.

WWE would keep her involved due to her popularity, and she briefly managed Asuka and Kairi Sane and became a contributor on FOX’s studio show WWE Backstage. Although now she mainly works on non-WWE projects despite having multiple years on her contract remaining. Now speaking to Renée Paquette on her podcast, the former WWE Divas Champion has revealed her neck is feeling good. Although she added that mentally ready to return to the ring due to a paralyze.

My neck feels good. It does scare me as well to come back and wrestle because I really want to. I would come back tomorrow, but I will have it in the back of my head like, “what if something happens and I get paralyzed?”

It does scare me, and I know I am not going to be fully ready mentally to come back but watch out, world. When I am mentally ready to come back, everyone is in trouble.Paige

Paige revealed during a recent Twitch stream that she plans to have another exam on her neck, so she is undoubtedly serious about making a return eventually. She is only 28 years old, so it would be fantastic if she could safely have a second run. However, with multiple screws in her neck and previously saying she has the neck of a 60-year-old, unless she can get medically cleared, WWE or any other major promotion would risk using her.
