Nic Nemeth Asked About Wrestling For AEW In The Future

Following his unanticipated WWE release in September 2023, many fans automatically assumed that Dolph Ziggler, now going by his real name Nic Nemeth, would end up in AEW. And while that could still happen, he recently debuted for both TNA and New Japan. And now, in an interview with Wrestle Binge, he has been asked about the possibility of an AEW run in the future.

“I am very focused on New Japan and TNA right now. Because I have seen a few different people on both of those rosters that I am blown away with. Not doing moves, being awesome at wrestling. Some of them have bigger names, and some of them don’t have a name that’s really well-known all over the world yet. And there’s a handful. There’s one or two in New Japan, and there’s five or six at TNA that I have been watching very closely.”

Nemeth signed with WWE in 2004, and except for a spell in OVW, their developmental territory at the time, he hadn’t wrestled elsewhere. Therefore, he is likely enjoying the freedom of handling his own career and, in the last week, has wrestled twice for TNA and in Puerto Rico for WWC. Additionally, he is set to make his in-ring debut for New Japan on February 23, which is something on the bucket list for many North American wrestlers.
