In November 2023, Tammy Sytch, best known to wrestling fans as Sunny, was jailed following the DUI manslaughter death of Julian Lasseter in March 2022. Yet while her legal team acted quickly to appeal to reduce her sentence, feeling that it was too harsh, the appeals court in Florida upheld the original sentence, which means she will not be released until September 2039, when she is 66.

52-year-old Sytch was among the top wrestling stars of the ’90s thanks to her good looks and charisma. However, her career was ruined due to a drug and alcohol addiction. Subsequently, she would be plagued by legal issues, often stemming from her struggle with both substances, which saw her arrested more than a dozen times between 2012 and 2022.
