Jerome Young, known to wrestling fans as New Jack, passed away on Friday from a heart attack aged 58. The hardcore legend was a polarizing character but has left the wrestling world mourning. The hardest hit by his death is his widow Jennifer Young and their children, and she has taken to Facebook to provide a statement that you can read below.
For all the outpouring of love from family, friends, and fans- I’m totally blown away. Jerome was not only my husband, he was my best friend and I’m completely gutted. He loved a lot of you very much, and you’ll never know how much I appreciate the love. I can’t really respond too much right now because I’m completely broken. I’m trying to help kids through this but I don’t even know what I’m doing.Jennifer Young
Additionally, Janette Davies, a friend of the family, has set up a GoFundMe on behalf of Jennifer to cover her husband’s burial costs, expenses and provide some money for his children’s future.
