Black Taurus Might Be Forced To Change Gimmick In AEW/ROH

Recently, there has been a lot of speculation regarding the future of Black Taurus, with it believed he was set to depart AAA as he has been working without a contract. And now, after wrestling at ROH Final Battle and on an episode of Rampage in December, it has been reported by Luchablog.com that it headed to one of Tony Khan’s promotions full-time. However, it’s doubtful he’ll be able to use the Taurus gimmick from now on, as AAA owns this. Therefore, he’ll soon have a new name and look unless a compromise between all parties is reached.

The 36-year-old luchador initially broke into the business under the name Semental in 2016. From there, he worked for top Mexican promotions CMLL and AAA before receiving his big break in the US via Impact Wrestling due to their working relationship with AAA in 2019. From there, he became a regular performer for the company, in addition to working for PWG and MLW and building up a solid following Stateside due to his distinctive masked look and gimmick. Yet, how much of that will remain going forward is currently unknown.
