AEW has very rarely released talents early from their contracts except for disciplinary reasons. Instead, the company typically allows deals to expire. However, it appears there has now been a change in approach implemented, as on Monday night, Fightful and PWInsider revealed several talents had been let go from the company. As of writing, the list is Parker Boudreaux, Slim J, Dasha Kuret, Stu Grayson, Jose the Assistant, Anthony Henry, Jora Johl, Gravity, and The Boys.
Most of the performer’s cuts haven’t been featured on AEW television in several months, and it is believed that under the terms of their releases, they can wrestle elsewhere immediately. Whether there are more to come currently remains unknown, but according to PWInsider, AEW management has done this because they are “evaluating their talent roster and making cuts to benefit both the company and the talents.“
