More Information Revealed Regarding The Spot Which Saw Kevin Owens Injure Roman Reigns

Saturday night saw multiple hard-hitting matches take place at Survivor Series, and the match between The Bloodline and Brawling Brutes was particularly stiff looking. However, it was subsequently reported that an unplanned spot between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens may have left the Tribal Chief with a ruptured eardrum, and Reigns was very unhappy due to this. And now Dave Meltzer has revealed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the injury occurred during a slap, and Reigns was unhappy as he felt the spot should never have taken place.

The basic gist was on Saturday’s show, during the match, there was a slap that Kevin Owens gave Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns had a bruise under his left eye, and he may have ruptured an eardrum. There was definitely an eardrum injury.

I think Romans Reigns felt that it was something that should not have happened in the match. Not that he was double-crossed, but it just was something that should not have happened. And so that’s the basic situation. But, I mean, as far as nobody, there’s no suspensions, and there’s not going to be any unless something happens. But as of right now, it doesn’t look like there’s going to be any changes in any storyline or any punishment or anything like that.

Reigns and Owens are currently penciled in to wrestle each other at the Royal Rumble, and based on Raw, it seems the Bloodline storyline is progressing as scheduled. Therefore it appears Owens should ready himself for a receipt. And while harsh, it is the old-school way wrestlers deal with such things, which ultimately clears the air and makes things even.
