MLW Files Trademark Application For Famous Tag Team Name

After their WWE contracts expired, Don­­ovan Dijak and Baron Corbin, now known as Bishop Dyer, would begin working for MLW as singles competitors. Subsequently, MLW decided to put the two giants together, and as a unit, they won the promotion’s tag team championships at MLW Summer Of The Beasts. And now, having been referred to as “The Skyscrapers,” MLW has officially applied to trademark the famous name on July 8.

For those unaware, The Skyscrapers were originally Dan Spivey and Sid Vicious, establishing themselves as a threat in WCW first against the Road Warriors and then the Steiner Brothers. However, when Viscous went down with an injury, “Mean” Mark Callous, later known as The Undertaker in WWE, took his place. Still, this version also wouldn’t last, as Spivey left the company and was replaced by The Masked Skyscraper, who was Mike Enos.
