This past weekend, Maria Kanellis caused quite a stir on social media platform X when she first posted “honesty gets washed off by money and politics,” suspected to be aimed at her ex-boyfriend CM Punk. This was followed by her defending Mark Briscoe regarding his stance on @WWEonFOX using “Dem Boyz” to describe Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits.
The current AEW performer would go on to receive a great deal of abuse for sharing her opinions on these topics, seemingly from WWE fans, and subsequently deleted her account, although she has since returned. And now, following one so-called fan referring to her as a “wh*re,” her husband, Mike Bennett, has taken the time to comment on the insult.
Bennett and Kanellis began dating in 2011 and were married in 2014. Since then, they have had two children: a girl named Fredrica and a son called Carver. However, despite appearing to have the ideal family dynamic, it hasn’t always been plain sailing for the couple, as Bennett previously had a severe prescription drug addiction. Thankfully, he had Maria during this troublesome time, as she would help him defeat his demons through her love and support.
