Not for the first time, toxic Twitter has seen a pro wrestler depart the social media platform after harassment from fans, with Mia Yim having deactivated her account. She would do this after initially sharing a photo of herself hanging onto the heartthrob Austin Theory, which resulted in fans accusing her of disrespecting her husband, Keith Lee. Some fans would even go as far as to claim she was cheating on Lee with Theory, and this promoted Yim to defend herself, noting that men and women can be friends without it being sexual. However, the criticism didn’t stop, and she has now quit the bird app.

Yim began wrestling in 2009 and built her name on the independent circuit and as part of TNA. She’d then receive her big break in 2018 as an entrant in the Mae Young Classic tournament, and despite only wrestling two bouts, she impressed management enough to earn a contract, with many anticipating she’d become a big star in the coming years. Unfortunately, though, when she was finally called up to the main roster, it was part of Retribution, which ended up being one of the most hopeless stables in WWE history. Then once off television for an extended period, she was released as part of budget cuts before returning under Triple H’s regime.
