Mercedes Moné, previously known as Sasha Banks in WWE, made her AEW debut by appearing in the crowd during All In, and it now just seems a matter of time before she steps in between the ropes for Tony Khan. However, her first comments since this appearance haven’t been about the event, but instead, her paying tribute to both Bray Wyatt and Hana Kimura by using a quote of his, combined with the Tokyo Cyber Squad’s motto.
Following All In, Khan, alongside new AEW’s Women’s Champion Saraya, would comment on Moné being in the crowd during the post-show media scrum. With the AEW head honcho revealing that Moné is yet to be medically cleared to compete following ankle surgery three months ago. Nevertheless, Saraya would tease the two working together by saying, “Mercedes, if you’re watching this, we can’t wait for you to finally join us,” seemingly confirming the WWE stars will face off against each other in the future.
