Mercedes Moné Fuels WWE Return Speculation

Mercedes Moné Fuels WWE Return Speculation

While Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado now goes by the ring name Mercedes Moné, many fans still think of her as Sasha Banks due to her decade-long run with WWE. And with it believed her broken ankle is now fully healed, speculation has again commenced on where she will wrestle next with her current New Japan contract status unclear. Seemingly, Moné is fully aware of the online gossip regarding her future, as she has taken to her Instagram Stories to tease a WWE return by posting an image of herself over her potential future boss, Triple H.

Moné walked out on WWE alongside tag partner Naomi in May 2022, and the pair were subsequently suspended and eventually departed the company. While Naomi would join Impact Wrestling, Moné instead signed with New Japan and has since wrestled for the promotion in both the States and Japan. Unfortunately, she has been sidelined since May 2023 after suffering a broken ankle; however, she would still go on to appear in the crowd at All In. This made it look certain that she was AEW-bound, although talk of that has died down in recent months, with WWE return rumors heating up.
