Mariah May Comments After Making Her AEW Debut

Three months ago, it was reported that AEW was monitoring Mariah May, with it known her Stardom contract was set to expire. And now the up-and-coming star has made her AEW debut during a backstage segment with RJ City on this week’s episode of Dynamite. During this, she would say she wanted to meet Toni Storm, and City said he could introduce her next week, seemingly confirming the duo will be working together in some capacity.

Following the reveal, AEW president Tony Khan confirmed on X.com that the British wrestler was officially All Elite, and subsequently, May took to the social media platform herself to congratulate the promotion on pulling “the ace.

25-year-old May began her pro wrestling career as a ring announcer in 2018 and would start in-ring training shortly afterward, working independent shows in her hometown of London. She would go on to catch the eye of WWE, who had her tryout for NXT UK, yet nothing more came of that. Nevertheless, she wouldn’t let this get her down and continued to work around the UK before becoming a regular in Japan’s Stardom Joshi promotion in 2022.
