Nita Strauss recently was awarded a Super Bowl ring from her beloved Los Angeles Rams. The guitar virtuoso has long had a relationship with the team since it moved to SoFi Stadium in 2020 where she has been the in-house guitarist.

She performs over team introductions, on select second and third downs and the fan-selected song of the game. She plays the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ hit “Can’t Stop” during the team’s “Rampede,” which provided a surreal moment when the band’s lead singer, Anthony Kiedis, was shown on screen at SoFi rocking out to Strauss.

“You have these goals and dreams and aspirations in your life,” Strauss told ESPN. “And then sometimes, as your career goes on, you’re fortunate enough to achieve things that weren’t even a part of those aspirations because those things didn’t even exist before. I would have never dreamed of getting a Super Bowl ring because it never would have occurred to me that a guitar player would get one. So now here it is.”

Earlier this year, Strauss exited Alice Cooper’s band, perhaps only temporarily, to join the touring outfit of Demi Lovato. “It’s an interesting thing that everyone’s picked up saying it’s a ‘departure’ but I don’t feel, necessarily, that I left,” she said.

Strauss often does meet-and-greet guitar clinics, and recently she held one at Big House Guitars in Atlanta. A man in the crowd casually walked right up to the stage and stole her Boss GT-1000 guitar pedal.

“After a fun afternoon clinic at Big House Guitars in Atlanta, this mf decided to steal my GT-1000 core pedal off the stage while I was doing the meet and greet,” Strauss wrote. “Didn’t count on the store having 30 cameras around the building I guess…Thankfully nothing irreplaceable was taken and my Ghost, which was also on stage, is safe and sound with me. Thieves suck. For the record, Big House Guitars rules!! Top notch staff there and I look forward to coming back any time you guys would like to have me.” Strauss also shared a security video of the incident.

Nita is also set to release new material on Oct. 25, which she said would include a guest vocalist. “I just released a single called ‘Summer Storm’ a couple of weeks ago,” she wrote. “It’s the second single from my forthcoming album. This one is instrumental, so it kind of takes me back to my roots, what I’m known for.”

“And the next single with a guest vocalist will be dropping very, very soon. It’s someone I’m extremely excited about, one of my favorite singers and someone I’ve been saying I wanted to collab with for a really long time. So I’m very excited to get that out in the world. We’re just putting the finishing touches on the music video and then you guys will be able to see it. My new record is gonna be about half and half instrumental songs to guest vocalists, so you’re gonna have a lot more cool stuff like that coming down the pipeline.”
