Having made her name in DDT Pro Wrestling and Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, former Japanese pop star and actress Maki Itoh is currently building up a cult following in the US wrestling scene, having wrestled for AEW, MLW, and GCW this year. And now the popular pro wrestler has taken to social media platform X to wish all her fans a Merry Christmas in her unique style by also calling them “motherf*ckers.”
28-year-old Itoh first got involved in pro wrestling back in 2013 while still a member of the girl group LinQ after she was invited by DDT Pro Wrestling’s president, Sanshiro Takagi, to wrestle for the promotion. Subsequently, she decided to give pro wrestling her full attention in 2016 when she signed with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, quickly making a name for herself. Still, it wasn’t until 2021 that she received her big break in the States when AEW began booking her, first during the Japanese bracket of their Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament and then as Dr. Britt Baker’s surprise tag team partner during 2021’s Revolution’s Buy In show.
