Fans became concerned about Kylie Rae’s wellbeing after she no-showed Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view on October 24, 2020. She drove to Nashville the day before the pay-per-view and contacted the promotion to check when she was required to attend on Saturday. However, she didn’t turn up on the day of the show, and Impact Wrestling had to change her match. Additionally, it’s understood she didn’t attend the next set of television tapings that took place on the 25th and 26th of October. Shortly afterward, she announced that she is unwell and is no longer considered herself a professional wrestler.
Now though, Warriors Wrestling has announced on Twitter she will be wrestling for them on June 5, 2021. She is currently their champion, having won the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship from Tessa Blanchard on September 12, 2020, and made one title defense later that month, defeating Madison Rayne. It is a risk advertising a wrestler who no-showed their last announced appearance. Still, hopefully, Rae is mentally ready to return, and perhaps it is to drop the title to Thunder Rosa, who is expected to be her opponent.
Kylie Rae had become known to the wrestling masses when she signed with AEW in 2019 and debuted at Double or Nothing. She was expected to compete at Fyter Fest but was replaced by Allie. Afterward, Tony Khan revealed she had requested her release, which had been granted. A few months later, she would resume her career on the indies and signed with Impact Wrestling in 2019.
