Kyle Fletcher Apologizes For Insensitive Comment Regarding All In: Texas

Kyle Fletcher has apologized for an insensitive comment he made about AEW All In Texas. Following a sudden match change after Adam Cole withdrew due to serious concussion issues, Fletcher described the day as one of the worst in his life. However, following significant backlash, he acknowledged during a follow-up interview that his wording appeared disrespectful, given the gravity of Cole’s situation and his involvement in the injury. Fletcher clarified that he was expressing his own emotional stress and overwhelming pressure that night, without intending to compare his experience to Cole’s.

Look, that comment that I made the other day,I was very upset with myself for the way I worded it. I would like to apologize for the way I spoke and the words that I used. I think the words I used were a bit insensitive, saying it was one of the worst days of my life. My thought process when I was answering that, and answering any questions about that day, is that I never want to talk about somebody else’s story. That whole day, that whole situation, a lot of it is Adam’s story to tell. I don’t feel like I have the right to complain about any of it, because what Adam is going through, and has gone through, my feelings pale in comparison to it.– Kyle Fletcher

As one of AEW’s rising stars, 27-year-old Fletcher has captivated fans with his explosive athleticism and high-flying style. He first rose to prominence alongside Mark Davis as the tag team Aussie Open in New Japan before joining the Don Callis Family in AEW as the “Protostar.” Since then, he has held two reigns as AEW TNT Champion, including a big victory over Dustin Rhodes in 2025. Still, there is concern over the Australians’ in-ring status after he left this week’s episode of Collision wearing a walking boot, prompting speculation about a possible leg injury.
