Kevin Nash Shares The Details Of His Son’s Tragic Passing

Last week it was announced that Kevin Nash’s son, Tristen, had died aged just 26, with no details revealed regarding the cause. Now though, during the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, the retired wrestler has shared the depressing details of passing, disclosing he died following a cardiac arrest after suffering a seizure that seemingly stemmed from him going cold turkey from drinking. With Nash going on to call alcoholism “my cross to bear.

The seizure caused a cardiac arrest. He was basically dead in his room on the floor with the EMT working on him, and they got him back and got him in the ambulance and tried to save his life. So too, the people at Halifax Hospital, Doctors and nurses, thank you. He wasn’t feeling well in the days prior. We both had decided that we were going to stop drinking, so it was a situation where we both went cold turkey.

He had this situation at the beginning of the year; he was hospitalized for almost 60 days. And this is my cross to bear. It’s alcoholism. It took one of my dearest friends, a gentleman named Vince, a year ago. It took Scott, and now it’s taken, my son.

The podcast episode is incredibly tough to listen to, especially when he talks about the negativity and trolling he has since received on social media and even via telephone. And Nash is clearly distressed throughout, still referring to his son in the current tense. Obviously, nothing is worse for a parent than losing a child, and all that can now be hoped is that Nash and his wife can come to terms with their grief and continue to live their lives honoring his memory.
