It’s not a secret that Jim Cornette doesn’t hold indie wrestler Joey Janela in very high regard, having coined the name “Jelly Nutella” for him. However, while the former AEW wrestler typically doesn’t acknowledge the criticism, Janela has seemingly felt compelled to respond on X after Cornette condemned him on his podcast for selling the barbed wire from Sabu’s final match.

Jim Cornette on his latest podcast talked about how I was selling barbed wire from the final match, how I was low and even going as far to say it’s unauthentic barbed wire. All proceeds from that went to directly to the sabu gofund me with proof … I know those guys don’t like me but hopefully they clear that up on the next podcast, but they probably won’t…Joey Janela

Janela has repeatedly acknowledged the hatred Cornette has towards him for being a “garbage wrester” who works on “outlaw mud shows.” And according to Janela this has seen fans of the legendary manager and booker not only harass him, but also his family, with his mother having even received threatening Facebook messages. Still as Cornette rarely leaves his house nowadays for anything except visiting the grocery store and post office, it appears there is little chance Janela will ever get to address this with his nemesis in person.
