Jim Ross Taking Time Away From AEW

Life hasn’t been kind to Jim Ross in recent years, as his wife tragically passed in 2017, and he was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2021. Additionally, it is known he is still dealing with the after-effects of cancer treatment and has found traveling difficult lately. Therefore, he has revealed during his latest podcast episode that he will be taking a break from AEW to allow his leg to heal. Exactly how long he will be absent wasn’t confirmed, but it appears to be weeks rather than months.

“My doctor believes that if I take a few weeks off, I’m not sure how many, we’ll see, it’s gotta heal. Being off an airplane for a few weeks will be good for my leg to heal, so what’s what I’m gonna do.”
