Jim Ross Issues Grim Warning To Injured Darby Allin

Darby Allin is currently recuperating at home after a recent Continental Classic match left him hospitalized. And now, during his Grilling JR podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has warned the star that his extreme, high-risk wrestling style will eventually catch up to him. While praising Allin as a person, he would say, “Some of these days, you know, your luck’s going to run out. Because he does things if you miss it by an inch or two, you’re in trouble.”

“Guys try to one-up their brethren, their peers, steal the show, blah, blah, blah. Whatever cliché you want to utilize. But yeah, sometimes guys, it’s almost like a panic button, I gotta get noticed, I want to be a star, so I need to do this. And Darby is fearless. I love Darby, and for those fans that don’t know him, they would never know what a sweetheart of a guy he is. I worry about him all the time because he never goes into a match without high expectations and is willing to take a chance. And some of these days, you know, your luck’s going to run out. Because he does things if you miss it by an inch or two, you’re in trouble. And sometimes he dodges the bullet. Sometimes he doesn’t.”Jim Ross

32-year-old Allin has been AEW’s fearless daredevil since 2019, with his Coffin Drop becoming one of the most iconic finishing moves in the promotion’s history. However, his desire to dive from extreme heights has led to multiple injuries, including a broken foot and a concussion. Therefore, if Allin wants to wrestle into his 40s, he should likely take Ross’ advice on board.
