Over the weekend, it was reported that WWE Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan had been hospitalized and undergone emergency surgery. Obviously, this caused great concern in the wrestling community, with Duggan being a beloved person, and thankfully, it was later confirmed he would be OK. Now, Duggan has taken to social media to reveal more about his health scare, disclosing that he was diagnosed with a perirectal abscess, which needed removing.
69-year-old Duggan, who is best known for his WWE and WCW runs, has had to battle multiple health crises over the years, dating back to being diagnosed with kidney cancer in 1998. Thankfully, though, he has always overcome them, and it now appears he is already back on his feet and enjoying his well-earned retirement alongside his wife, Debra.
