Jeff Hardy Scheduled To Appear In Court Following Sunday Night Arrest

It’s well known that Jeff Hardy has struggled with both drug and alcohol addiction over the years. Nevertheless, it was thought he had managed to conquer them finally. Sadly though, it had been confirmed that the Volusia County Division of Corrections booked him for driving under the influence as well as with a suspended license. And while there appears to be some confusion regarding the specific time he was arrested, WrestlingHeadlines.com reports it was Sunday night.

Hardy’s bail has been set at $3,500, and he remains in custody as of writing. He is now scheduled to appear in front of a judge on Tuesday afternoon, seemingly putting him wrestling in the advertised tag team ladder match on Wednesday’s Dynamite in doubt. However, that is likely the least of his concerns right now.

Hardy made his AEW debut during the March 9 episode of Dynamite which was the earliest opportunity following the expiration of his WWE non-compete. He had been released by WWE three months earlier for walking out mid-match, with management initially believing he was intoxicated. Although it would later be proven via a drug test taken at the time, he was clean, and WWE tried to re-hire him and offered a Hall of Fame spot to sweeten the deal. Nevertheless, he would decline, feeling it wasn’t the right time, and later saying he wanted to go in alongside his brother Matt, which wasn’t an option due to him being signed by AEW.
