Jake “The Snake” Roberts’s AEW career has unfortunately been very stop-start, with the fact that he was dealing with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease being a significant factor in this. However, his health is now much better, and the WWE Hall of Famer has subsequently confirmed on his podcast that he has signed on for another year with Tony Khan’s promotion.
“Well folks, just to let you know, you’re gonna be looking at me on AEW for another year. That’s right, they re-signed me, so that’s great news. Looking forward to doing it.”
68-year-old Roberts debuted for AEW during their The Road to All Out special in 2019. He’d then appear on the March 4th, 2020, episode of Dynamite, confronting Cody Rhodes. Initially, he was on a short-term deal that kept being extended, but Khan was so happy with his work that eventually, he signed him to a multi-year full-time contract.
