The signing of Jade Cargill was presented as a massive coup by WWE, as they’d managed to get a homegrown AEW talent to switch sides. And while it does look like Cargill made the right move given her current standing in WWE, during an interview with Busted Open, she has revealed what she misses about working for Tony Khan’s promotion.
Cargill’s pro wrestling career began in 2019 with a WWE tryout, yet despite being offered a contract with the company, she decided to learn the business on her own terms. This led her initially to both Heath Slater’s and AR Fox’s wrestling schools before eventually joining the Nightmare Factory, where she trained under QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes. Subsequently, this opened the door for her to become All Elite in 2021, where she was given a Goldberg-esque winning streak.
