Jack Perry Tears Up His AEW Contract During NJPW Battle In The Valley Appearance (w/Video)

CM Punk and Jack Perry made headlines last August when they were involved in a backstage altercation at All In, resulting in both men initially being suspended and Punk later fired. And while it’s known Perry’s suspension finished some time ago, he has remained absent from television. However, he has now made his first public appearance since the unfortunate incident, appearing at Saturday’s NJPW Battle in the Valley show and tearing up his AEW contract before putting on an armband saying “scapegoat.”

Obviously, this is all part of a bigger AEW storyline, with the promotion seemingly trying to turn a negative into a positive and using their working relationship with New Japan to do this. Yet, it seems that for the time being, Perry’s immediate future is with New Japan’s US brand Strong, using an anti-AEW gimmick.
