Bill Goldberg retired from the ring this past weekend after putting Gunther over during Saturday Night’s Main Event. Yet while it was presented as a big deal, the WCW legend would end up being cut off during his retirement speech due to time constraints. And now, while speaking to Ariel Helwani, Goldberg has shared his frustration, saying he was “p*ssed off” by the whole experience and called it the “ultimate rib.”

Let’s just say I’m p*ssed off at the way that I went out. I put so much into it and I don’t feel the effort was reciprocated to put a stamp on what I accomplished … I’m not going to snivel over it, by any means. I got the opportunity to have it for 28 seconds. Not many people get that. Everything throughout the years built up to the ultimate rib. I guess that was the ultimate rib.”Bill Goldberg

According to 58-year-old Goldberg, he had previously been promised a retirement match by Vince McMahon in exchange for coming back to WWE and putting over Roman Reigns at short notice. Therefore, when this didn’t happen, the former football player would go as far as to call the disgraced billionaire “a piece of sh*t.” However, once McMahon was out of the picture, Triple H decided to deliver on the promise despite Goldberg and his past real-life animosity.
