Goldberg wrestled twice this year for WWE. The first match was in February at Super ShowDown when he won the Universal Championship by defeating The Fiend. The second time was at WrestleMania 36, where he dropped the belt to Braun Strowman. It was thought that could have have been the end of WWE’s time with WWE, but he has revealed in an interview with The Pop Culture Show that he signed a three-year deal, so has two-years remaining.
My WWE commitment is still going strong. I’m 53, I never would have imagined it, especially making fun of Flair for doing it in his early forties.Bill Goldberg
So while we won’t be seeing any more Goldberg matches in 2020, fans will be pleased to know they’ve at least four more matches enjoy. One of them might be the match against Roman Reigns that Vince McMahon originally wanted for WrestleMania 35.
