German Darts Star Dumps Metal Entrance Song

German metal giants Rammstein are in the news for all the wrong reasons as of late. Numerous women have come forward with disturbing claims that the band’s singer, Till Lindemann subjected them to non-consensual sex acts and/or spiked their drinks or made unwanted advances at Rammstein after-parties or in other backstage situations.

German police recently opened an investigation into Lindemann “on allegations relating to sexual offences and the distribution of narcotics.”

The band’s drummer issued a lengthy statement last week saying he didn’t think anything “criminally relevant” occurred, but he also added that Lindemann “has distanced himself from us in recent years and created his own bubble. With their own people, their own parties, their own projects. That made me sad, definitely.”

German darts star Martin Schindler previously used Rammstein’s “Ich Will” as his entrance song, but he has since announced he’s dumping the tune due to the allegations against Lindemann.

“In any case, the walk-on song will be changed,” he confirmed at a tournament in Frankfurt. “I just want to distance myself and stay out of it, that’s it … Accordingly, you simply have to stay away from such topics.”

Still a metal fan, however, Schindler has his eyes set on a new entrance song. “Let’s see what will be my walk-on song in the future,” he said. “I’ve got my eye on Linkin Park, it’s my favorite band.”
